I come away from the Golden Globes understanding that in Hollywood, La La Land is a a lot greater deal than I noticed. I believed Emma Stone can be a serious contender for the actress awards, after all. However I didn’t understand that there was a lot love for a movie which I believe seems fairly… twee, cringe-y, privileged and foolish? It’s like #WhitePeopleProblems: The Film. That being stated, it’s onerous to be mad at Emma Stone. I wasn’t even loopy about Emma’s Valentino gown, however I’m not even mad about it. It was a fairly, frothy, star-covered pale gown. It match her fantastically and it moved effectively, though it seems actually flat in pictures. She appeared snug and pleased with it. *shrug*
Right here’s Anna Chlumsky in Roland Mouret. I like Anna, I believe she’s loopy gifted and delightful, however my God, she can not discover a flattering gown to avoid wasting her rattling life. That is so dangerous.
Talking of WTFery, Anna Kendrick in Vionnet. She appeared… horrible. Why does this gown exist? Why did she select it???
Whereas Laura Dern isn’t one in every of my favourite folks, she wore one in every of my favourite low-key attire on the Globes. I doubt she’s going to be headlining any best-dressed lists right now, however this Burberry was attractive, applicable, well-tailored and flattering. Homerun for Dern!
