A Pittsburgh police officer paid for a pair’s meal after the 2 stated they did not need to be seated close to him and different officers.
Officer Chuck Thomas of the Homestead Police Division was with three different officers for dinner on the Eat n’ Park restaurant final week.
“A female and male had been going to be seated throughout from us, and he stated, ‘I do not need to sit there,’ which drew my consideration, and we made eye contact, and his physique language simply instructed me that he needed nothing to do with police. I seemed over at him and stated, ‘You do not have to fret about it. We can’t damage you.’ He stated, ‘No, I am good. I do not need to sit there.'”
Thomas determined to pay for the meal so he may depart a word for the couple. On the tab he wrote:
“Sir, your examine was paid for by the law enforcement officials that you simply did not need to sit subsequent to. Thanks to your help. I left a $10 tip too.”
Thomas stated that he paid the tab whereas he was on his manner out and that the server later instructed him the couple was “thrown again by it” and ended up “chuckling.”
